Marianthi Papalexandri-Alexandri

Marianthi Papalexandri-Alexandri was born in Ptolemais, Greece, in 1974. She studied composition with Chaya Czernowin, Rand Seiger, and Roger Redgate at the University of California, the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, the University of London, and Goldsmiths College. Marianthi Papalexandri-Alexandri’s work consists of compositions for instruments and sound objects, which she develops and builds herself in collaboration with the artist Pe Lang. Many of these works for this instrumentarium are conceived as visual-musical interactions. Marianthi Papalexandri-Alexandri currently lives and works in Berlin.
