The Neue Vocalsolisten at »Summer in Stuttgart«

Since the premiere of Mediterranean Voices (2014), the Neue Vocalsolisten have enjoyed an intensive exchange with composer-performers from the Mediterranean region. At the festival »Der Sommer in Stuttgart«, the singers will take up these Mediterranean (vocal) perspectives again and complement them with a world premiere.

The engagement with this transcultural space between three continents, charged with a shared history and its myths, home to three world religions, a space between diversity and contradiction, between hatred and peaceful coexistence, has become part of the Neue Vocalsolisten’s artistic self-image.

 

At the festival Der Sommer in Stuttgart, the singers will revisit these Mediterranean (vocal) perspectives in two concerts and complement them with a world premiere.

 

The two concerts are also part of the anniversary series KAMMER SPIELE, in which the singers will present »milestones« from their huge repertoire in a thematically focused way until the end of 2025.
