When the Maidler auction house places an ad for an estate auction in the program book of the Munich Biennale, one has to think twice. Musical works, at least, are not on the inventory list. Is the long-established institution planning a reorientation of its auction performance, for instance, and launching a corresponding pilot test as part of the Biennale? The matter is opaque. Therefore now the announcement text in the original: »Meistbiebietend to the auction is brought the contents of a cultivated 4 room apartment with approx. 80qm floor space in the Fürstenstrasse 6 (80333 Munich/Maxvorstadt). Among other things, the following items are up for auction: jewelry, contemporary art, designer bed with mattress, historical screen, blinds with slats, tropical plants, aquarium with contents, kitchen complete with electrical appliances, vacuum cleaner, stereo system, surveillance cameras, DVD player, telephone with answering machine, toiletries and eyeglasses. Everything without limit. Only cash payment possible. The auction house sale extends over several days and requires registration through the Biennial advance ticket offices.«
